FREEDOM AND RESPONSIBILITY
Many of us are starting to awaken to the truth of freedom in responsibility. This may be one of the most important paradoxes of the human experience. Accepting responsibility can seem like an incredible burden, far more than we can manage. Claiming freedom can seem frivolous and self-indulgent. It is only in combination that these two aspects of our existence work so well for us. When I learn to accept responsibility for my own body, mind and emotions, I am taking significant steps on the path to spiritual freedom. The maturity and wisdom of taking responsibility for myself and my circumstances creates the groundwork that is stable enough to allow me the freedom of exuberance and unconditional love. When I recognize that this life, this body/mind is my vehicle for expression of true purpose and meaning, I am ready to begin to live fully and completely. Responsibility can be understood as response-ability, or the ability to respond--do you hear the freedom in this? If I am able to respond, I am free. I believe each of us deeply yearns to be free, to express this wonderful mystery that we were born to be. Claim your power, and your freedom. Show the world the beauty of who you are.
