Dr. DeFoore's approach to couples counseling is based on the idea that a healthy relationship is designed to bring joy, love, fulfillment and lasting companionship to both people involved. Issues are defined, and a game plan for counseling is outlined early in the process.

Using the Imago style of couples counseling, Dr. DeFoore coaches couples in communication processes leading to emotional healing, emotional intimacy, sexual intimacy and romance. He helps couples to examine their compatibility on the mental, emotional, physical, financial and spiritual levels.

Both people in the relationship have a chance to "tell their story" and be fully heard by their partner.
